Another painting from today. Finally made use of that old sketch I drew!
Maybe someday I’ll put a nice background behind this…
(apparently I’m uber stupid and I don’t know what year it is…)
I’ve been experimenting with my style and coloring lately. Thought I’d do some fan art. I’m really happy with this. I did the line work in Illustrator and then all the colors and textures in Photoshop. Anyways enjoy!
Started listening to “Let It Go” on loop this evening and this is what happened. XD;; It’s now almost 4am here and I still have to work on writing my paper when I get up in the morning
or rather, afternoon, knowing me:p but I’ll leave you guys with the planetary body inspired fanart of Sailor Uranus.
As with the fanart of Saturn and Pluto, some of Uranus’ moons are depicted here, specifically the six largest moons: Oberon, Titania, Umbriel, Ariel, Miranda, and Puck (Fun fact: Uranus’ moons are names after characters from the works of Shakespeare and Alexander Pope).
Still trying to recover from this cold, though this time it doesn’t seem to be as bad as the previous bought I had in January. =_= Still, I’m feeling kinda poopy, but I did manage to finish this companion piece to the Sailor Saturn fanart I posted a few days ago. The Three moons of Pluto depicted here are (from largest to smallest): Charon, Hydra, and Nix.
Last but not least, here’s Sailor Neptune to complete my set of planetary themed fanart of the Outer Senshi. Neptune only gets three moons here (Triton, Proteus, and Nereid) because a lot of its smaller moons are, well, small. XD;; I want to try to keep the moons more or less to scale so the others would be hardly visible if I included them.
when in doubt go back to your roots
on that note I like my Rei with mad eyebrow game
some awesomely pink SAILOR MOON KATANAS for my comicon challenge entry
Here are a few scale pics of some of the individual items for your viewing pleasure. This was by far the most difficult piece I’ve worked on…….curves and symmetry, curves and symmetry, curves and symmetry, curves and symmetry, DAMN CURVES AND SYMMETRY!!!!!!!!!! I had to do a good handful of these multiple times just because something wasn’t quite symmetrical or there was a slight dip or bump in a curve. BUT, in the end, I think it came out great and I learned a whole lot as well due to how challenging and different it was.
*a fun tidbit: out of all the items I’ve done, on average, a single item will have about 30-40 individually cut pieces, but the Moon Power Tiare had 125+ individually drawn and cut pieces………….it was a nightmare.
A silly way for me to experiment with animation.
Your first look at the upcoming Crystal Star & Cosmic Heart compact mirror cases from Premium Bandai!!! Judging from this pic they are super shiny and look just like the 90s toys!!!! =O
